FAQ:
Q: Can I use sneakers or a suede shoe?
A: For the purpose of this class, we are going to learn on leather, pleather or faux leather. A smooth surface works best for this process!!
However, I will teach you how to alter the gilding prep process so that you can try it at home on canvas or other fabrics.
Q: Can I add accent shapes and use multiple colors in my design?
A: Absolutely! You'll learn how to transfer simple shapes and multiple colors onto your shoes, which opens up a WORLD of options for your future designs! Though I do recommend keeping your design fairly simple for your first pair.
Q: Can I use cowboy boots, tall/knee high boots?
A: I highly suggest starting with a shorter boot or shoe. Tall boots take a lot longer to gild and you won't have time to finish the whole project in one workshop! However, if you have your heart set on gilding a tall boot, you can start it in the workshop and finish it at home.
